FAQs

What people usually ask

Why now?

Robot fighting already draws crowds: Unitree's teleoperated humanoid boxing events went viral, and a humanoid robot fighting league launched in Shenzhen in July 2026 with over 200 teams. Open-source tools like GMR now copy human motion onto humanoid robots in real time on a standard CPU.

Hasn't this been tried before?

Giant fighting robots like MegaBots' Eagle Prime were hydraulic, slow and hugely expensive. MegaBots' own takeaway was that arm speed matters more than strength. Live motion capture is built for exactly that.

Is it safe for the pilots?

Yes. Pilots control the robot remotely from outside the arena, so the robot takes every hit.

Who builds the robots?

Teams do, on the league's base platform. That keeps costs sane and fights fair, while leaving room for engineering to make a difference.
